UEFA Euro 2024 / 14 Jul 2024

12 July 2024 (by admin)

We have made the decision to extend our morning registration period to 10.00am on Monday 15th July only.

Dear Parents and Carers,

We are sure that many of you are looking forward to watching England versus Spain in the Euro 2024 Final on Sunday evening.  This is another major football final, following our defeat to Italy on penalties in July 2021, and our first ever major tournament final on foreign soil.

We anticipate that many children and families will be watching this significant sporting event, which has the potential to finish very late on Sunday evening and thus result in some very tired children!  Therefore, as part of our promotion of wellbeing, we have made the decision to extend our morning registration period to 10.00am on Monday 15th July only.

Superheroes Breakfast Club and School will be open and operational as usual for children to attend at normal time.  However, families will be given the option of allowing their children to enjoy more sleep and rest and arrive at school any time up to 10.00am for their morning registration mark.

All children arriving after 9.05am will need to use the main reception to sign their children in.

It is 58 years since England (Male Squad) last won a trophy, so please encourage your child to watch this key event and use this as an opportunity to talk to them about our National Anthem, collaboration and teamwork, pride and resilience, and being humble in victory and gracious in defeat.

Thank you for your support and co-operation.

Let’s hope that finally…..’It’s Coming Home!’
