PE & Sport Premium
The PE & Sport Premium is additional funding from the Government that is allocated directly to primary schools across England to improve the provision of physical education and sport.
The additional funding must be spent on improving the provision for physical education and sport. The school will be held to account for how we spend the sport funding. An online document will be published each year with details about how we look to improve the provision of PE and sport at Platt Bridge Community School. Our school recognises the contribution of PE to the health and well-being of our children. In addition, it is considered that an innovative and varied PE curriculum and extra-curricular opportunities have a positive influence on the concentration, attitude and academic achievement of all children.
We are required to publish on-line information about how we have used the additional funding, including details about our sport provision alongside curriculum details. This will ensure that parents/carers and others are made fully aware of the PE and sporting provision at Platt Bridge.
