update following our schools Ofsted inspection

12th July 2024

Dear Parents/Carers,

Ofsted Inspection 10th and 11th July 2024

As you know, our school had an Ofsted inspection this week (10th and 11th July). This was our first inspection since 2013, and since there have been many versions of the inspection framework as well as changes to the national curriculum and attainment targets for Key Stages 1 and 2.

Our inspection was a Section 5. This means all areas of the inspection framework are assessed and graded. We found the two days to be rigorous, challenging, and professionally rewarding and are pleased that all areas of our amazing school have been inspected.

We are very pleased with the five outcomes of our inspection, and you will be able to read more about the inspectors’ judgements in the published report in due course. The report will cover the five areas of Quality of Education, Behaviour and Attitudes, Personal Development, Leadership and Management, and Early Years Provision.

Unfortunately, we are unable to share the outcomes with you at this stage. Due to the point in the academic year (July), it is not likely we will receive the report until mid-September 2024, after Ofsted has concluded its post-inspection quality assurance processes.

What I can share at this stage is that the inspectors found our children to be very well-behaved, kind, and courteous. I am immensely proud of our staff and all that we have achieved together. The inspection has fully validated all that we believe in and the hard work our staff do for our community and children ensuring that every pupil achieves the best they possibly can,  by providing the highest quality teaching and pastoral care.

I would like to thank you for your continued support and your positive comments in our parents’ survey. We look forward to sharing the full report and outcomes with you in September.

Best wishes on behalf of all our amazing pupils and staff.
